No Drip Toddler Popsicles

When Cash was sick, I learned that nothing beats a sore throat better than a cold, sweet popsicle. I also weighed the pros and cons of letting a 2-year-old suffer from a sore throat or get popsicle drippings EVERYWHERE.

Let me tell you, I really contemplated letting him suck it up because cleaning up purple and red drip stains every 5 seconds was not about to be added to my already long to-do list.

That’s when I discovered Jell-O popsicles. They are the best frozen treat and taste like a popsicle but when they melt, they actually keep the Jell-O consistency. Cash loves them and I don’t have to clean up the mess. WIN WIN!

Here’s how I made them

Step 1:

I was against Jell-O products for the longest time because of all the preservatives and unnecessary added junk. I was pleased to see that they finally came out with a “Simply Good” product that has more natural ingredients in them. I found these at Target, Mixed Berry is the current family favorite but we’re venturing out with the Pineapple Orange. Fingers crossed there’s no household mutiny.

Step 2:

Follow the instructions for the regular method, not the speed set method.

Step 3:

Pour the Jell-O mix into popsicle molds. Again, I got these at Target – the mom mecca.

Step 4:

And voila! Let them set in the freezer + enjoy!
